Civic Duty

Today I did my civic duty, I voted. I left my apartment shortly after 7:00 am. I arrived at a polling site around 7:30ish. I could see a line outside the library, but managed to find a parking space and began my trek to stand in line.

This is where I would like to interject a fact about this morning. We had record breaking lows in the Tampa Bay area. I think I heard the prior record was established in 1910 or something. It was 42 degrees. I know to some of you that doesn't sound cold, but since I have been in FL almost 3 years my blood has become very thin.

Forty minutes late I was heading back to my car. I managed to avoid frostbite and voted. It was cold, but worth it.

What did you do today?
