Today my friend, Blair, and I had planned to spend the day together. We had a great time!
It began with a late breakfast at one of my favorite places, Mimi's. Then we headed to the movies to see Batman: The Dark Knight! No spoilers here, but it was good. Of course we both think Christian Bale is pretty cute so we are a little bias. No day is complete without a little pampering, so we ended the day Starbucks and pedicures. Technically we drank our goodies on the way to our appointments, but still...
By the way, has anyone else tried the Vivanno Chocolate Banana Smoothie? I must say, I am a fan.
Then it was back to the real world with cooking dinner, laundry, and mopping. But I did enjoy several hours of just hanging out with a friend. I also have pretty toes to show for it!!! :)

We added a little man to our family in February 2013 that seems to have truly made us a "family". Every girl should have these. We just don't take the time often enough. I almost always do them with family member(s) but it is very fun to do with a friend too.
Glad you had a day to yourself after all the days you've had leading up to it... you deserved a really get away day!
Haven't tried any of the new Vivanno mixtures yet. I don't stray too often from my usual extra hot latte.But I have to admit I was tempted when I was at a Starbucks on Friday.
Yes we should take the time for these kinds of days. I am hoping that when I go to Texas in a couple of weeks my mom and I can enjoy one of these days together.
It was a nice end to a long week.
I tend to be a creature of habit as well. I don't think I would have been quite so willing to get out of my box (either a skinny latte or the Americano), but the barista was harassing me a little. Needless to say he knows exactly what I normally order too! That and I was in the mood for something cool instead of hot.
