At the Airport

Well, I have made it as far as the airport. My flight to Houston has been delayed by 30 minutes. Not the start I was hoping for, but that is life. I am not sure what the trouble is, but they have said the flight has left Richmond, Virginia and will be here around 4:00 pm. They are also asking for volunteers to give up their seat on the Houston bound flight and take a flight later this afternoon to Nashville. Not that I don't love Nashville and not that I don't have friends in Nashville, but that is the opposite direction of Texas, so I am hanging tough and not allowing the offer sway me!

Don't you love the fact that the Tampa airport has complimentary wireless Internet service?

I am also very grateful that I am not leave out of gate C33...Why would anybody be going to Fort Lauderdale? They already said that Fay/weather may keep the flight from landing and it may have to come back to Tampa.

Well, a plane just pulled up to my gate, so I better log off and get ready...I guess the pilot on the VA flight made up some time in the air!!!

Well, I hear you left the storm state just in time to get the heavy rains in TX/Ok. As for back here where you escaped, not even a shower yet today so far. We are expected to get some downpour tonight, with some wind gusts predicted in E Hillsborough County up to 40 mph, but much lighter on the west coast area. Tropical Storm Fay may still cause problems once she crosses Florida and hits the Atlantic. Since her strength has not abated since landfall, she could rev back up over the open warm ocean waters. It's a wait and see game. Anyway, I hope you have a great time with family this week. See ya soon!

dreamlady- Tropical Storm Fay turned out to be quite the tease. I will admit that it was nice to have an extra day and half at home though. It was really convenient when we had to make a trip to the ER that turned out to be kinda like the storm...more hype than anything. Still, it allowed my parents not to have to choose who went to the hospital with my grandfather and who picked me up. For that I am thankful that I "bailed." I had a great time and it is now back to reality!
